Terms of Service

Forduex is a product of Ximplex, operated from Costa Rica. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Ximplex. "You" means the person using Forduex.

Forduex helps freelancers and small businesses keep track of finished work and get paid on time. You add tasks with your client's name, email, amount and due date, and Forduex sends payment reminder emails to your client on your behalf, following the schedule you choose in Settings.

• You sign in with Google or GitHub. You're responsible for keeping that account secure.
• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
• You're responsible for everything that happens in your Forduex account.

Because Forduex sends emails to other people in your name, you agree to:

• Only add clients you have a real business relationship with.
• Only send reminders for amounts that are genuinely owed to you.
• Make sure you're allowed to use your client's email address for this purpose.
• Never use Forduex for spam, harassment, threats, or anything illegal.
• Follow the laws that apply to you and your clients, including any rules about collecting payments.

If we see misuse (for example, many complaints or bounced emails), we may pause reminders or suspend the account. We'll try to contact you first whenever possible.

• Reminders are signed with your name and sent from our email domain. Replies go directly to you.
• We work hard to deliver every email, but we can't guarantee delivery, that clients will read them, or that clients will pay.
• If an email bounces, we pause reminders for that task and let you know, so you can fix the address.
• Forduex is a reminder tool. It is not a collection agency and does not give legal advice.

Notes and blacklist reasons are private and visible only to you. Please keep them factual (for example, "paid 60 days late") and avoid insulting or defamatory language.

• Free: up to 5 open (unpaid) tasks at a time, forever.
• Paid plans: $12 per month or $120 per year, with unlimited open tasks. Prices are in USD and taxes may apply.
• Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• If you're not happy, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll arrange a full refund.
• If we ever change prices, we'll tell you in advance, and the change will apply from your next renewal.
• If you stop paying, you keep all your tasks and history. You just can't have more than 5 open tasks until you upgrade again.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Your tasks, clients and notes belong to you. We only use them to run Forduex for you. Read our Privacy Policy to see exactly what we collect and how we protect it.

We aim to keep Forduex running smoothly, but it's provided "as is", and there may be occasional downtime or errors. We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we ever shut Forduex down, we'll give you advance notice and a way to export your data.

To the extent allowed by law, we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or unpaid invoices. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You can stop using Forduex anytime. To delete your account and data, email us and we'll do it within 30 days. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are important, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica.
